Happy Cinco de Mayo! I thought I would take this festive holiday as an opportunity to let you in on something that has been top of mind for me lately – a little thing called moderation. I know, I know, this is the day for TEQUILA(!), but every few months or so, I like to take a pause and consider the things I am consuming. Whether that be information, products, or my beloved cocktails, it always makes me feel better when I realistically look at how much of something is working well for me, and where I could utilize a simplified or more mindful approach.
This is where Seedlip spirits came in for me a few years ago. As the world’s first distilled non-alcoholic spirit, the three flavor profiles offer an array of variations for a special feeling cocktail when you are looking to take a pause in life or consider mid-week moderation. I typically try to take a comprehensive break on caffeine, sugar, processed foods, and alcohol every few months so this has been a sweet little additive to my life. I don’t feel like I am sacrificing during happy hour at home with my guy, and I can bring it to parties and enjoy a guilt-free cocktail that actually tastes way better than the vodka-soda thing they’re trying to sling me! ; )

It’s brilliant for them – I always hear, “omg, I would LOVE a glass of wine right now”…and then I send them my flavorful little secret and they don’t feel so separate from the party anymore.

Grove 42 Margarita
Seedlip Grove 42: 2 oz
Agave Syrup: 1 tbsp
Fresh Lime Juice: 1/2 oz
Garnish: Salt Rim, Lime Wheel
Run a lime wedge around the outside of the rim of the glass then roll the rim in salt. Add all the ingredients with ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake & strain over fresh cubes of ice into a tumbler. Garnish with a lime wheel.
Spice 94 PaNOma
Seedlip Spice 94: 2 oz
Fresh Grapefruit Juice: 1 oz
Fresh Lime Juice: 1/2 oz
Simple Syrup: 1/2 oz
Club Soda: 3 oz
Garnish: Grapefruit Peel
Add all the ingredients except the club soda to a cocktail shaker. Shake & strain into a highball glass. Top with soda and add fresh cubes of ice. Garnish with a grapefruit peel.
*Simple Syrup: Mix one part water to one part sugar
